DAEMONWORK
The process behind everything.
// signal
Daemonwork is the holding structure behind a portfolio of web-native tools, communities, and media properties. It doesn't have a product. Its brands have products. It exists to build things that work — software for practitioners, communities for specialists, media for people who make things.
The brands operate independently. The infrastructure runs underneath all of them. Daemonwork is the process nobody sees — load-bearing, always running, unglamorous by design.
Built inside the industries it serves. WordPress-native. Music industry-adjacent. Practitioner-forward. The portfolio expands when the right opportunity runs — not before.

Zach Stepek
Founder / Operator
Zach builds web-native software, manages artists, shoots rock and metal shows, and runs practitioner communities across the WordPress and independent music ecosystems. Every brand in the Daemonwork portfolio came from the inside — built by someone already living in the vertical, not observing it from outside.
He co-hosts Feedback and Fury with Taproot's Taylor Roberts, covering music industry operations and culture. He co-hosts Expanding The Stack with Carl Alexander on OpenChannels.fm, covering the open web and WordPress ecosystem. His photography runs under Rock.Photo and ZS Photo.
Mighty Swarm handles consulting and agency work. Mighty Tour is the product. Daemonwork is the structure that holds everything else together and keeps it running.
// connected properties
// work together
The right collaboration is specific. Daemonwork works with brands, platforms, and operators whose work intersects with the practitioner communities in the portfolio — WordPress, music industry, concert photography, tabletop gaming, independent publishing.
What's on offer: direct access to niche practitioner audiences across a portfolio of properties, co-marketing infrastructure that spans web, audio, and community channels, and a founder who's been inside these industries — not consulting from outside them.
If the overlap is real, the conversation is worth having. If it isn't, we'll both know quickly.
